Laurel Fork Farm is an educational farm that surrounds Laurel River Club BnB. We love to provide the food for the BnB and teach people about food production, farming and wildcrafting. Visit the pages for Laurel Fork Falconry and Faithful Herbal to learn more about other amenities on the farm.
Unlike anything you will experience anywhere else, our falconry excursion will take you through the forest with a licensed master class falconer. The Laurel Fork Falconer will introduce you to one of his birds of prey and demonstrate what it's like to work with one of these magnificent birds. 60 minutes or more of high activity each session will be unique (may exceed 60 minutes).
Gathering fresh food from the garden or off the land is our specialty, country cooking with as many fresh from the farm ingredients we can grow or find in the wild is our passion. Learn how to grow, harvest, cook, and preserve your own food. Private or group sessions.
Direct sale of raw milk is illegal in the state of West Virginia. Distribution of raw milk off-farm in West Virginia is legal only through herd sharing. A herd share is a purchase of a milk interest in the herd, allowing you to receive raw milk according to your level of milk interest purchase. As an LRCBnB guest you are entitled to purchase a temporary herd share during your stay. Ask how you can purchase a herd share upon check-in.
Slip into our second floor restored claw foot bathtub and experience our one of a kind Milk Bath. That's right, pamper your skin by bathing in fresh creamy Jersey Cow milk fresh off this farm, thanks to Faithful Herbal, a beauty treatment good enough for a Queen! Relax and unwind in just milk for sensitive skin or get a mix of minerals and oils to calm and soothe your mind, body, and spirit. $35.00 per bath.
Surrounding the BnB you will find a 200-acre working farm and source of much of what we serve each day. Every time you take a step inside or outside of the property there will be opportunities to learn about farming and what country life is really all about.
Great for individuals or small groups this presentation will allow you to learn and ask questions as you get first-hand experience with a magnificent bird of prey.
Presented by The Laurel Fork Falconer, a licensed master class falconer. Ask about scheduled presentations when you check in.
Right out our back door, you will find the Dry Fork River which is a wonderful place to relax or cool off in the refreshing mountain water. The Dry Fork is a 39.1-mile-long tributary of the Black Fork of the Cheat River in the Allegheny Mountains of eastern West Virginia, USA. Via the Black Fork, the Cheat, and the Monongahela and Ohio rivers, it is part of the watershed of the Mississippi River.
The Allegheny Trail is a 287.81-mile north-south trail with its northern terminus on the Mason-Dixon Line at the Pennsylvania-West Virginia border near Bruceton Mills. It wends its way south until it meets the Appalachian Trail on Peters Mountain at the Virginia-West Virginia border. Crosses through BnB property.
